During the Mumbai Marathon in 2005, People Group contributed Rs.10 lakhs towards the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for Tsunami Relief. It was started in 2007 by people whose friends and families were affected by blood diseases. Shaadi.com has joined hands with The Foundation for Blood Ailments (FBA) to create awareness about Thalassemia, and help prevent it, since there is no real cure for this ailment. In a unique bid to help the hearing impaired women find their life partner, Shaadi.com teamed up with an NGO Delhi Foundation for Deaf Women (DFDW) for its special swayamvar called Pranay Milan Sammelan 2007. There were more then 60 candidates who attended, accompanied with their parents. Read more » People Against AIDS Run On Sunday January 15, 2006 the People Group participated in the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon for the third consecutive year in a very unique way. The uniqueness was that for most participants, it was a day's run. But at People Group, it's just another day in a marathon 31 days of AIDS relief work, a collective effort of 300 employees.
